ABOUT THE TEAM
Chelsea Anderson, MA
Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am a registered provisional psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. While I've been practicing for nearly a decade with a graduate certificate in Applied Counselling, I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling in 2022.
The focus of work for the past year has been on couples and sexuality related concerns. I also have a special interest in working with cancer survivors and spend some of my time working directly out of the Prostate Cancer Centre. I also have a lots of experience working with people to develop healthier relationships with their bodies, movement/exercise, and food. I enjoy working with people who have trauma histories, helping support people with anxiety and stress, and those through grief and loss. I am LGBTQ+ and kink friendly.
Originally from Kelowna, BC, I recently relocated to Calgary, AB in 2023 and joined the Walker Psych Practice. I have travelled extensively throughout the world and have lived and worked in Canada, Cambodia, and Bolivia. Part of my love for travel is experiencing different cultures and learning about how people across the world experience life. My experiences have allowed me to bring a unique multicultural perspective into my counselling work.
I love to explore the outdoors by bike, cross-country skis or snowboard. I love moving my body and have often have an on-going sport that I compete in as well as an activity that is new or "just for fun" . This lends well to counselling as I encourage my clients to get curious about their own relationships with moving their bodies. I walk alongside my clients as they learn to live an embodied life and engage in living more fully.
