ABOUT THE TEAM

I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I received my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in 2023 after completing an intensive practicum at the Calgary Counselling Centre. As a CCC, I am available to work in person in Alberta, and online with folks residing in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Previously, I worked for many years as a registered massage therapist. People often first seek massage therapy after an injury and often experience a shift in identity and a sense of uncertainty. This background has informed my counselling interests. I enjoy supporting individuals and couples navigating unexpected or significant life changes. Situations may include health concerns, relationship and professional transitions, financial stress, or grief and loss. A particular interest of mine also relates to sexual, pelvic, reproductive and hormonal health, specifically related to fertility, pregnancy, peri/menopause and pelvic pain. I also particularly enjoy working with folks from all age, genders, backgrounds, and sexual orientations to address sexual concerns such as desire, arousal and orgasm difficulty. I am also passionate about helping folks improve their relationship to body, including work with people with body image concerns or with chronic pain. I enjoy working with clients to co-develop strategies for managing associated emotional and psychological difficulties, with a focus on personal growth.
I use a trauma-informed and gender and culturally inclusive approach to therapy. As a senior volunteer with Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse, I am sensitive to the understanding that few are far removed from the negative impacts of systemic inequalities.
I consider myself a ‘Jane of all trades.’ I love exploring new interests and ideas. Historically and still prominent, I have learned to express myself through different languages and music. I am inspired by the human capacity to find countless ways to express and redefine themselves, especially when our circumstances change.
